Experienced lawyers helping people who were harmed by dangerous drugs

Actos® is a treatment prescribed for type 2 diabetes. The drug's manufacturer, Takeda Pharmaceuticals, found that the risk of bladder cancer increases 40 percent in Actos® patients who have taken the drug 12 months or longer. The risk of cancer increases the longer a patient has been on Actos and the larger the dosage they take.

Call the Dayton drug recall lawyers at Elk & Elk if you are an Actos® patient who has experienced signs or symptoms such as:

  • Feeling the need to urinate without results
  • Feeling the need to strain (bear down) when you empty your bladder
  • Frequent urination
  • Blood in the urine, which may appear rusty or dark red
  • Pain during urination

Despite the risk, Actos® is still available in the U.S. with an increased cancer warning, although it is no longer available in several countries.
